I'm not really sure I have much to contribute right now. Just found out some other friends are pregnant. My goodness.
One of the medics at my winter projects seems pretty nice. The company man on my rig is trying to set me up with her. Apparently she would let me be her house husband, which would be fabulous. Becoming a house husband might be one of my ultimate goals in life. We'll see if I pull it off. To try and convince her of my house husband bonafides I just knit her some mittens. Not that I'm seriously interested, but it gave me something to work on the last few days. Not my best work, but they're not bad either. I should go deliver them to her right now.
She related an anecdote of life in the oil patch to us the other day that speaks to me a fair bit and relates back to our discussion of balance in life and not working too much all the time, etc. She said she'd heard from someone else out there that life in the oil patch is a lifestyle, not a life. That makes a lot of sense.
Got to watch a good bit of Olympic curling today whilst knitting. Knitting and curling is a good combo. Canadians made it to the gold medal games for both men and women.
Call me.

You should take a pic of said mittens. With or without individual fingers?
ReplyDeleteMittens have been gifted. No individual fingers. If they had fingers, they'd be gloves, no?
