In Billings, MT at a hotel for the night. Didn't make it as far as I would've liked - got a late start because the computer kept me from getting much sleep last night. But it's running great.
Longer drive tomorrow than I would've liked, but not a big deal.
Only notable event - I picked up a bag of Sun Chips at a gas station. Just a snack for the road. And they have this compostable bag these days, which is cool. But it's the noisiest bag in the entire world. It's remarkable how noisy it is. Hopefully they're right that the next generation of compostable bag will be quieter.
Call me.

That was a cool link. Thanks for sharing! I was hoping it would show a clip of how loud the bag actually is. I'm intrigued now.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if that link is old or not, but I've had a bag of those compostable bag chips, and yes, they are noisey! So much so that people complained and they decided to take it off the shelf. I even saw it on good morning america once. But maybe they're just going to quiet down the bag in the redesign. Who knows. The chips are loud enough in my mouth, let alone touching the bag.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe journey!
I think the link is probably fairly up to date. The 'original' flavor ones were the only variety being sold in the noisy bag.
ReplyDeleteThe guy at the counter joked with me that Congress had outlawed them...
They're going to *try* to quiet down the bag in the redesign. I'm sure when they first came out with it they realized how noisy it was - but it must be noisy for a reason, so maybe quieting it down won't be easy?
So I spent all night freezing in my hotel room.
ReplyDeleteBasically, I'd looked at the heater and one end of the little knob was pointed at 'hot' and the other to that gradational transition zone between hot and cold, and I'd just assumed it was already on hot.
This morning I turned the knob, and now I know. Room's warming up quickly...
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the hotel keeps rooms cool when there aren't guests in them...
Arrived safely in Calgary.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time!
